Walking for Water--Presented by CLEAN International

Calling all ages (Rain or Shine!)! Join us for a meaningful afternoon as we work together to bucket water along the paths of the Cornell Botanic Gardens (formerly Cornell Plantations) for communities around the world who are currently walking every day for their water.  This is a family-friendly event and we would love for all ages to join us!  Each person coming should bring a container to bucket water....

EVENT SCHEDULE:

12:30-1:15pm Registration, LUNCH! and filling and weighing our containers! (We will meet by the ponds near the Sculpture Garden.)

1:15pm: Kick-off ceremony

1:30-2:30pm: Walking with our containers of water

2:30-3:00pm: Event wrap up and prizes!

Our course runs through the Cornell Botanic Gardens and is a mile long loop.  The goal will be to do the loop twice, walking a total of 2 miles with water. There will be 1/4 mile markers along the way and you can walk all or some of the course as many times as you wish!

We will be logging the total amount of water we all carry and the distance each of us walks!  We have prizes for individuals, families and teams for the most water carried the furthest distance, so start gathering your friends and family to join you!  Even the youngest participant can help us carry water, so please bring your little ones along!

Registration is $10 per person (2 and under free). Register today at www.cleaninternational.org
