About this Event
110 N. Tioga Street, Ithaca, NY 14840
An intergenerational (teens and up) event for LGBTQ+ survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, or stalking. Come to discuss and celebrate queer survivorship and activism through writing and art prompts. After a lunch break, we will brainstorm and collaboratively or individually create shirts for our local Clothesline Project. The Clothesline Project shirts contain powerful messages representing survivors' unique and personal experiences, offering survivors an opportunity to break the silence that often surrounds experiences of abuse and air the “dirty laundry.” To ensure enough t-shirts and materials, registration is required, this event is capped at 20 people.
