GO ITHACA is excited to be a 2022 recipient of the Tompkins County Outdoor Recreation Grant. With this grant, we are launching a series of summer tours to help both tourists and residents alike experience the great outdoors...all without needing a private vehicle! These tours will showcase beautiful Ithaca attractions, help people try different modes of transportation, and encourage less driving this summer. 

Best of all, these tours are free!

 Our tour schedule is June 4th through August 14th:

Fridays: Cascadilla Gorge Walk (1 hour)

Saturdays: Ithaca Falls & Cayuga Waterfront Trail Bike Ride (2 hours)

Sundays: TCAT to Trails (Bus from Downtown to Taughannock) (2.5 hours)

Each tour will begin at 11:30 AM from the Bernie Milton Pavilion. We are currently developing our marketing and promotional materials and will share them with you as soon as they are available.

This grant allows us to help subsidize people trying new modes of transportation while supporting local businesses. We have partnered with Boxy Bikes to offer a discount on bike rental. Patrons can email carrie@downtownithaca.com ahead of the Saturday tour to receive a coupon code for $20 towards a bike rental. $20 is enough to cover two hours of a standard bike rental. Feel free to bring your own bike and gear!
